3. The pipe valve is blocked
The blockage at the pipe valve is gradually formed. The main reason is that after the concrete pump has finished delivering the concrete, it is not flushed with high-pressure water in time, resulting in the concrete remaining in the pipe, which gradually thickens over time, accumulates and solidifies, and causes blockage.
Elimination method: After the concrete delivery pump finishes conveying concrete, be sure to rinse the pump body and S-pipe with high-pressure water. When the flushing is ineffective, the brazing can be used to remove the residue until it is completely clean.
4. Concrete pipeline is blocked
When the conveying pressure gradually increases, but the material level of the hopper does not drop, the outlet of the pipeline does not discharge, the pump vibrates, and the pipeline is accompanied by strong vibration and displacement, it can be determined that the pipeline is blocked. Judgment of blocked parts: blockages generally occur in elbows, tapered pipes, and areas with vibration. At this time, a small hammer can be used to strike along the pipeline, and the dull sound is the blockage; the crisp sound is normal. Listening with your ears, a rustling sound is normal, and a harsh sound is a blockage.
Elimination method: When the pipe is blocked, the method of percussion with a wooden hammer, combined with the forward and reverse pumps, can be used to dredge it; when the above methods are invalid, it means that the blockage is serious. Similarly, the method of repeating the forward and reverse pumps can be immediately adopted, and the concrete at the pump outlet can be gradually sucked back into the hopper for re-mixing and then transported. It is also possible to remove the pipe after identifying the blocked section, blow it with high-pressure air or hit with a heavy hammer or flush it with high-pressure water, and after it is thoroughly cleaned, connect the pipe to continue pumping concrete.
